Reginald Grant
Reginald Grant is a respected community leader, violence prevention advocate, and founder of Near North 3.6.5., a community violence intervention (CVI) organization committed to saving lives, building character, encouraging forgiveness, and creating sustainable pathways to safety, healing, and opportunity. A survivor of gun violence, Reginald transforms lived experience into purposeful leadership, using his voice and platform to disrupt cycles of violence and advance long-term community stability.
After surviving a gunshot injury, Reginald dedicated his life to ensuring that others do not endure the same trauma. His work focuses on street outreach, mentorship, conflict mediation, and connecting at-risk youth, high-risk individuals, and families to critical support services. Through Near North 3.6.5., he promotes a 365-day approach to violence prevention—centered on consistency, accountability, civility, and community-driven solutions.
Reginald is widely recognized for his ability to build trust within communities most impacted by violence, bridging longstanding divides between residents, service providers, and systems that have failed neighborhoods for decades.
