Rev. Randall K. Blakey

Since June of 2011, Rev. Randall K. Blakey has served as Executive Pastor of LaSalle Street Church on Chicago’s Near North side. At LaSalle, Rev. Blakey is Chief of Staff and shares the Pastoral responsibilities of the Ministry Team. He is also the Executive Director of the Near North Unity Program, an effort started to promote and strengthen resident & stakeholder cohesion in the Near North community. In addition, Rev. Blakey is Board President of the Cabrini Green Community Development Corporation. Prior to LaSalle, Mr. Blakey was a 23-year member of the Faith Community of St. Sabina. At St. Sabina he served on staff as Director of Ministries & Pastoral Associate, having direct oversight of all Church Ministries & Outreach Organizations, while sharing the pastoral responsibilities of counseling, teaching, and preaching. He has worked in the television business for the last 30 years and has won numerous awards, the most notable being 4 Emmy awards for Television Photojournalism. His most memorable work was covering the release of Nelson Mandela from South African Prison for CBS News in 1990.
Mr. Blakey is a graduate of Tennessee State University, McCormick Theological Seminary, The Divinity School of Harvard University, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago’s Civic Leadership Academy. His passion for ministry includes social justice, racial righteousness, pulpit diversity and pneumatology.
